We exist to serve God by serving others. By bringing the church to the people, we meet needs within our community and enjoy sharing Christ’s sphere of influence. Simple acts of kindness can open hearts to the love of Jesus for both those being served and those serving. The Lakeside Outreach Serve team is made up of individuals who are using their gifts and talents to glorify God by serving others.

We want every person who is passionate about helping people to find the right opportunities to effectively use their gifts to build up the body of Christ and extend the Kingdom of God.

Matthew 20:28 “…just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Upcoming Serve the City Projects

Food Ministry 

Tuesday's are Food Ministry days at Lakeside.

- 1st Tuesday of the month our team gathers at Southeastern Food Bank from 10:00AM - 12:00PM to help in any way we can.
- 2nd Tuesday of the month is our monthly food distribution where anyone can receive a complimentary box of food for their family. This distribution is held at the Oakland campus from 4:00PM - to 6:00PM.  Volunteer jobs start as early as 1:30 pm.
- 3rd Tuesday of the month we gather at the Lakeside Freedom Center, in the warehouse from 10:00AM - 12:00PM, and sort donated foods in preparation for the next month's distribution.
- 4th Tuesday of the month we again gather at the Freedom Center from 10:00AM - 12:00PM, and pack the food boxes for distribution.

We also accept food donations at the Outreach tent every Sunday!

Blood Mobile 

The 3rd Sunday of each month, the Big Red Bus from One Blood will be at our Oakland Campus from 8:00AM - 2:00PM. A single blood donation can save up to three lives! This is an awesome opportunity to make a difference in our community.  Sign-up to volunteer at the Outreach tent, or to donate, register below.

Serve Day - July 13, 2024

We are passionate about serving our community and every year in July we participate in SERVE DAY where we gather together as a church to make a big impact! There are many opportunities available for students, families, and adults to change our community through food distribution, yard clean-up, home maintenance, visiting those in institutional homes, hospitals, or shut-in, and many more. We want every person who is passionate about helping people find the right opportunities to effectively use their gifts to expand the Kingdom of God. By loving our neighbors through these acts of service, our hope is that it will open hearts to be receptive to the love of Jesus.
